The Women’s Guild of Filling Homes, after successfully raising $13,000 at the Filling Fall Fling in November, donated the funds to purchase two, new industrial paper shredders for the Secure Confidential Shredding program at the Filling Homes Community Center.
The shredders, costing $4,995 apiece, will add two stations to the workspace where 12 people participate, on average two hours per day, in this Adult Day Service program. The clients are paid minimum wage while learning valuable work skills. Last year, the FHCC program provided confidential shred for 30 businesses and nearly 30 more individuals.
