We provide the resources that each person can grow and develop physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually to their greatest capacity.

Our staff family covers every facet of an individuals needs. Speech, physical, and occupational therapists, behavior specialist, resident assistants, nurses, dietician and dietary personnel, properties, housekeeping and laundry, a full time chaplain, habilitation techs. and more provide the support system necessary to fulfill our mission. Regular visits by medical specialists, hair stylists, dental clinic, psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers are a few of the services we provide.

Our residents range in age from 4 to 72. Some go to school, some go to our HAB Center, others go to the Senior Center. No matter what age or degree of disability, we strive to provide a home and family center for each resident. We work, shop, play, pray, and dine together as family.

GROUP HOMES

Filling Home currently operates two ICF/MR group homes in Williams County. Each home houses eight individuals in residential communities. One home is located in Bryan, Ohio and the other one is located in West Unity, Ohio. With direct care staff 24/7 these community based homes allow residents to live in and become part of the communities around them. Generally speaking these individuals have less intensive medical needs than those at the base facility. As part of the Filling Family all of the specialists are there as a resource for each resident. Direct care staff educate and support each individual to become as independent as they are able. Sharing the work around the home, laundry, cleaning, dishes, etc. encourages independence and self sufficiency. Shopping, dining out, and participating in community events all reinforce this independence. These activities provide the skills needed for daily life and appropriate social behavior.

SUPPORTED LIVING

Filling Home currently provides supported living services to 19 individuals with developmental disabilities in northwestern Ohio. These individuals live on their own in apartments and homes but may need different levels of service. Our staff provide these services from 24 hours a day for some clients to maybe a few hours a week for others. These services are provided on the basis of the individual's needs. Perhaps they need help with shopping, or bill paying and banking, or they may need help with cooking and cleaning, or transportation and assistance with medical appointments. By providing the services that are needed by each individual, it allows the individual to live independently in the community, hold jobs, and be a productive member of that community.
